Man in the Mirror partners with local church leaders and regional ministries to bring the No Man Left Behind Conference to cities all around the country. These conferences are conducted by the faculty of the Leadership Training Center, and rely on a local hosting organization for a venue and on-site event support, as well as help promoting to nearby churches.
How do I bring the No Man Left Behind Conference to my community?
There is a 5-step process for setting up a No Man Left Behind Conference:
- Create an “A-Team” or Advocacy Team. Recruit at least 5 passionate leaders from 3 churches in your area to determine the feasibility of being able to host and support a local conference.
- With the A-Team, potential host church, and Man in the Mirror ministry consultant working together, we will plan a pre-conference “Fishers of Men” dinner at a local restaurant and invite leaders to attend. There, we will discuss men’s discipleship and determine the interest level for a conference. Typically, we expect 40-75 leaders to attend in order to move forward in scheduling a conference. A Man in the Mirror staff member or local Field Associate* will join you at the dinner. He will share the No Man Left Behind Model with the group and help facilitate a discussion about the need for leadership training and men’s discipleship.
- Secure a date and a venue -- usually a local church -- that can host a
2 ½ day conference for up to 100 leaders, along with a team to provide logistical support. The date should be approximately 4-6 months after the dinner.
- Working with Man in the Mirror and the local A-Team, promote the conference through both the leaders that attended the dinner and other relationships in the area you may have.
- The event happens! Working together, the A-Team, Man in the Mirror staff, LTC faculty, and perhaps a Field Associate* will conduct the premier men’s leadership conference available, revolutionizing the way attending churches disciple their men for Christ!
